Capitol Hill

Home of the Colorado State Capitol, this central Denver neighborhood is the most dense and diverse in the entire city. Once the home of Colorado's wealthiest citizens, the neighborhood now is an exuberant residential, governmental and commercial center with an array of museums, cafes, clubs, galleries, and coffee shops. Cap Hill has long been home to many lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer families, and perhaps for even longer, has welcomed LGBTQ visitors to a wide variety of community‐oriented and accepting businesses. Additionally, there a number of landmarks in the neighborhood that are of national significance to the LGBTQ community. The flag represents the neighborhoods centrality within Denver and significance within the State of Colorado, along with the colors for the LGBTQ flag.
